Welcome to Episode 2 ladies! Well done to all 13 of you for surviving the very first challenge. For the second challenge you must produce an old fashioned industrial revolution / victorian era fashion look that really captures the essence of that time period. In keeping with the theme, these looks will be photographed using a sepia filter so keep that in mind when selecting your colours. In addition to your main look you must also use furni to construct a unique industrial revolution era invention with an explanation of what it does. Your look and invention will be photographed separately and please remember when constructing your invention to use the default flooring of a room behind it so I can edit it. Feel free to use steampunk elements.
This week some of you really stepped up and some of you really dropped off. It is very interesting to see the changing dynamics of the group. A few of you were late and now I understand why it stresses out longterm hosts so much. You had 5 whole days to make 1 look and 1 furni construction. It's not that hard. There's 24 hours in a day. Some of the queens submitted the first day with top outfits so you have no excuse. I still love all of you but please be more mindful of the deadline. I have had to replace a queen this week as they didn't even bother to show up late. Let this be a reminder to you all that, as I have mentioned before, there were queens who lost out on spots to you. And if you don't want to be here, they are ready to replace you.
Our guest judge this week is none other than Habbo's supreme design queen herself, icearbr AKA Edna™. I am so excited to have you here! Your influence on the Habbo drag, fashion and design scenes is probably second to none. If someone needs a designer, they call you. Winner of Snawlterm Season 3, currently top 5 in Vyia's Drag Race Season 2 and i'm sure owner of many more titles. I think we ALL get inspired by icearbr. It made perfect sense to have you here judging on a furni design challenge.

alydaman: THIS. IS. INCREDIBLE. You were the first to submit and WOW you didn't need all that extra time. First off, your look being inspired by the picture of Tower Bridge being built is genius. It really feels industrial. I love that the ribbons on your side and your belt look like cables. Your belt and tie combination EVEN looks like a mini tower bridge on your belly. The icing on the cake was when I applied the sepia filter to your look and these gorgeous browns came out on the mask and belt that weren't there before. And If I was expecting a beard from you in ANY challenge it was this one. But you surprised me and went a completely different route. Your wig making invention is stunning. Top to bottom exactly what I dared to hope would be submitted for this challenge. It is the personification of the Industrial era with this smoking machine rising out of the beautiful countryside. So intricate and pretty. From last week to this is a jaw dropping step up and shows you have what it takes to bounce back and deliver.
icearbr: You have one of the more unique takes on this task with your look. The layout isn't anything special per say but I do enjoy the creative concept behind it. Your machine is lacking thought. If i wasn't told this was a wig maker I would not have guessed it. I think it needed a clearer concept.

alydaman: Taking the peasant theme and making it high fashion was a great choice. You have really layered and textured this look flawlessly. The 4 sections of cream-brown-cream-brown with black detailing layered on top is gorgeous. And the black shoe framing the look at the bottom keeps your attention where it should be. The underused baggy trousers work perfectly with this look. Your invention is so cooky and campy. A machine powered by chickens that turns you into a crystallised glamazon bitch ready for the runway? Yes please! It gives me Fable III vibes. The whole campy WOW BUY THIS MAGIC POTION AND HAVE YOUR WISHES GRANTED advert theme. There's a noticeable jump in quality at the top since last week which I think is down to you. A couple of these other queens saw you up at the top last week and stepped their games up to match. So thank you very much for setting the standard at the top, but now you're going to have to deliver the wow factor every week to stay ahead. Excellent work!
icearbr: I enjoy the peasant fashion concept you got going on here which is more apparent in your palette. The silhouette is fresh and interesting. You have one of the stronger looks this week. Impressive`*+, I love the reference and the campiness of your machine! The chickens were such a great touch.

alydaman: I love your invention! One of, if not the, most thought out and actually useful inventions this week. A lamp for ladies to put in their gardens to zap all the annoying bugs, whilst still blending in with the scenery. And you know Victorians were all about keeping up appearances so it's a clever sell. It's very pretty and elegant with those Victorian style iron legs and outward silhouette of the flowers on top. And it's definitely the best utilisation of the lamp this week. As for your look, I love how you used a bow to create another roll of hair. I love the aged face and the small round glasses. All the stylings of both your look and invention are bang on challenge. But the look does fall into the safe category for me. There's not enough going on side pose wise. The belt is very overdone from this angle. I think you could have done a lot more with a side angle or gone for a more interesting design concept altogether. From a look last week that loosely fit the challenge to a look this week that absolutely embodies it is great development. I look forward to seeing if you can WOW with the next challenge.
icearbr: ur overall attitude towards this task reads as safe. Using the victorian dress was the most obvious choice. Your machine, even tho it has a cool name, I don't find it that impressive. Your whole attitude is lacking drama and risk. I would advise you change that for the upcoming tasks.

alydaman: I love the plumey silhouette of your look and the plum purple you used. Your WTGA 'Wash the Gay Away' shower is sleek and clean and the idea fits into a victorian setting. However, you played this week very safe without taking any risks. That's fine if you just want to get to the next week but track records are going to matter in the latter stages of the game. So think about how you can push your designs to really wow and grab a top spot. Last week's look was very creative but lacked execution. This week is the exact opposite. It's polished but a very safe predictable toot. Your sweet spot is right in the middle. Nice stable progress though. Good job!
icearbr: Well your look sure does look like its a timepiece. Too much for my opinion. This looks downright costumey and the general choice of items is quite overdone. I want more ingenuity with these outfits. Your invention lacks drama on a first impression but with the story behind it I definitely see the point of it. I prefer your machine over your outfit.

alydaman: Your toilet water recycler is very well constructed. From the red and gold panels and toilet to the golden plumbing and grate to the silver taps and lever. The colour palette is spot on for something Victorian. I imagine this being the state of the art bathroom invention delivered to the Royal household. Your look however, is a MESS. Girl, I told you how many times to edit but you didn't want to listen. And I don't like this. I just don't. It's mismatched, busy and displeasing to the eye. I do really appreciate you taking on board my week 1 critique but this is too far in the other direction. Risks were made but they weren't controlled. I think something could be done with the furni on top, a sort of plume ruffle look. But the bottom half has to go. Overall, you are safe this week by the grace of your invention which shows you clearly CAN design well. Try and do it on yourself next week.
icearbr: I like your thought process of adding a lot of details, make it as busy as possible, so we don't notice the mistakes in this. I do love an outfit with an attitude like that so I consider this one of the stronger outfits of the week. Excellent palette and editing. The invention is humorous and campy af which is the right kind of invention for a drag race. Keep up the great work.

alydaman: The screenshot you sent me was poor quality so I have also included a screenshot I took in your room, but it showed up slightly differently. I think your invention idea of a dried flower maker is unique and interesting. For the most part it is small, cute and well made but also quite simple. Against the other queen's elaborate inventions this seems basic and unexciting. As for your look, it's hands down the worst this week. Using one shade of red for your entire outfit makes it looks flat and bland, especially as it's a very similar shade to your skin colour. And with the sepia filter you are completely washed out. I don't understand the bald choice or the modern shirt and skirt. The only thing Victorian about it is the feather accessory and unfortunately for you that's been used 2 other times this week. I know you are non-HC, but as someone who has won 4 shortterm drag races without HC against HC casts, you could have made something much better.
icearbr: I don't mind norm outfits if they're done right. But this is a longterm. Going norm in a longterm seems like a stupid choice and this outfit clearly shows us that your lack of options is your downfall. The outfit does not fit the task at all. The invention is boring and uninspiring. Overall disappointed with this.

alydaman: This quilted patchwork LERK is giving me LOIFE! Soooo good. Using this angle to showcase all the different cuts and angles of the fabric is such a perfect idea and paid off in spades. I'm getting ROYALTY vibes and I'm here for it. The choice of colours is stunning. Royal blue with gold and pops of red produce the essential combination. You added volume with that skirt under the toga. Every accessory is placed right and there are no negatives anywhere in sight. You have delivered another concept this week that I was praying would appear and you have done it and taken it several levels higher. Your invention is hilarious. A machine that can detect shade from anywhere in the room and identify where it came from and play it back for you ALL while literally spilling tea? Where can I purchase the prototype? The construction is tight and well stacked. The addition of the hands with the spilt tea had me rolling. Plus tea is SO Victorian. Only fault is the use of a laptop and radio as they aren't all that 19th century. Amazing performance, rising to the ranks of the front runners this week.
icearbr: I love the fact that you refused to have your outfit become murky and pale after sepia is added so points to you for thinking about the filters ahead. The silhouette of this is stunning with breathtaking graphics. The invention is so over the top campy and to the point which makes it one of the stronger machines of the week. Keep it up!

alydaman: Your invention, the Enemachine, is hilarious. An invention that cleans your bowels with the force of 4000 horsepower and then recycles the waste into coal for your fire. I'm crying. The design is reasonably solid. I like that it's all very golden. I get the impression that you are a maid working in a royal household and you're the one who has to clean up the tank of waste. Maybe that's why you have toilet roll all over your chest. I think again you have not successfully pulled off using furni, it just looks very tacked on. Plus somebody already won last week using the same furni and did it better, so it was a bit brave to attempt. I do like the olive green of your dress and bow matched with your hair colour. You are always very good with colours. Overall, this is very safe. Maybe for the next challenge try constructing an outfit without ANY furni. I think if you focused on your outfit instead of what furni to use you could show what you can really do.
icearbr: I do enjoy this new trend of using furni as details for your outfit but just like every other trend, it comes with risks. The furni has to be perfectly composed in relation to the rest of the outfit and I do not see that here. Using the obvious victorian dress seems like a safe choice and the "ruffles" look disjoined and in the wrong place. As for your invention I enjoy the story behind it but it lacks on construction. There's already a better constructed toilet one of your sisters made.

alydaman: I like your time machine invention. Surprisingly, no one else did that too but i'm glad somebody did. It's a classic. I think it's mostly attractive. Very busy but in a way that creates the illusion of a big bulky golden machine with millions of rotating parts inside. As for the look, I think this is weaker than the invention. You could have done so much with a steampunk inventor. It's really quite unexciting and teetering on CC. I do like the hair choice though. And the one eyed goggles.
icearbr: Interesting take on the task. I feel like this is more steampunk than industrial era in both outfit and invention. The outfit as a whole is ok with some minor errors. The hat matches nothing and just sits there without any purpose. The invention is interesting looking. I just wish it was more clear and obvious on its purpose.

alydaman: WOW! This is a gigantic step up (get it) from last week. I can see your creativity and style coming through now. No trace of dull and CC at all. I'm going to be honest i'm not sure how I feel about the greenhouse dress. On one hand it's a merging of two very Victorian things - huge dresses and greenhouses. On the other it's just too large and looks like you made little effort (even though I know you did). Now I am known for being extra (cue comments about the time I used a tree as a wig) but that was challenge appropriate. This feels a little TOO wacky. BUT I appreciate you tried that, just attempt normal sized looks from now on though. As for the Lanellé - an electricity storing invention. I love it. It is so dainty and detailed that it fascinates me. Simplistic design done in the right way. I like how you made it look like electricity is passing from the lamp. Good improvement on last week.
icearbr: What a stupidly clever way to portray industrial outfits. I adore this dress and I think you played the camp factor really smartly this week. I don't think the necklace was necessary but otherwise this is a great outfit. The invention lacks a bit of drama but I can appreciate the minimal approach to it. I just wish the machine had the same over the top camp as your outfit does.

alydaman: Welcome to the competition Mary! Thank you for rushing in at late notice. Unfortunately, it does show in your look which is rather basic. I do like the hat and hair together. And the gloves and belt are both well chosen. However, the browns are drowned out and remove depth from the look with the sepia filter. The look requires more excitement. Your invention though, is truly great. This is basically the industrialisation of wig making. Whereas in the olden days they would have had to sew each strand themselves, now all you need is this machine and a bit of dye. The structure of the invention is unique this week with a production line, something that came about during industrialisation. I like the shape and colours used. The stands for the finished product are cute. I look forward to next week when you have more time!
icearbr: I do enjoy the idea behind the outfit but the silhouette and pieces you went with don't reflect it well. One of your sisters had a similar concept and their outfit clearly outshines this. It just lacks fashion in general. As for your invention, You can clearly tell its related to wigs but this is not a machine. It's just a workspace for a worker to make wigs by hand. That's a big miss.

alydaman: I'm afraid I don't like the look or the invention. The look is thrown together and basic but STILL better than the overdesigned first one you showed me. From such a great submission last week this shocked me a bit. Maybe you did well because your overdesigning happened to fit that challenge? You need to find the balance between overdesigning and plain boring. There is some interesting texture but it is using such cheap overused items of clothing. Part of it must be because you had to make this in 1 hour because you were late. But that's your fault. You all had the same deadline. You were very nearly disqualified this week before you logged on with 1 hour to go. Your industrial submarine is an interesting idea but very poorly executed. Again, it looks thrown together because you left it to the last minute. I KNOW you can produce winning looks so I don't know why you're choosing this? I hope you can turn it around.
icearbr: I wouldn't call this the most ingenious outfit out there but it has some interesting textures to it. The necklace and cape feel out of place. I would have liked to see a bit of colour. As for the invention, concept wise, i really like it but I don't find the structure to be that interesting. A submarine room has so much potential.

alydaman: Although a tad basic, I just really like your look. It captures the Victorian essence really successfully. I like the headbands together and the contrast of gold and black with the red hair created by the sepia filter. The golden buttons are a cute touch, even if very overdone. When it comes to your invention... Well....what invention? You didn't even know you had to make one until I told you in person and you admitted to reading half the challenge. That's not okay. Your invention explanation about bringing birds to your nesty weave made no sense, I don't think you really understood the challenge at all. You were also the latest out of the whole cast to submit and you're lucky you weren't replaced. With all that said consider this your third chance because I think your look is quite strong for this challenge. At least, stronger than the bottom 2, who's looks AND inventions were flops.
icearbr: This outfit has some interesting qualities to it silhouette wise. It isn't one to capture your attention but its not bad either. I wish you played with more colours. Combining black or white with another colour is one of the safest choices you could make. I want to see something new. As for your "invention", there really isn't one. That's just a room with some trees and some seats. A big miss for me.

Discord Trailortrash. This was an absolute powerhouse performance from you this week, and I can see your cogs are turning.
Annaya Layton. Your peasant was rich in fashion couture, and your invention has crystallised your position in my mind.
Freaj. Your red norm look was read on the runway, and your invention was all dried up.
Vantè. Your royal runway reigned supreme, and your tea spilling invention soaked me in success.
Armani Sexchange. Your Victorian lerk was not victorious, and your submarine left you submerged.
Discord Trailortrash. Condragulations you are the winner of this week's challenge. You have won a lifetime supply of candle wax from MeltMeDaddy.com. That's MeltMeDaddy.com *wink*.
Freaj. I'm sorry my dear but you have been eliminated. Carry on serving dinner my iconic squid queen. Now, sashay away...
